Make sure you select your yarn carefully. Choose that chunky yarn which looks so lovely on the shelf, and you could end up with something like this (http://www.rose-kim.com/rose-kimknits/labels/Thursday.html) :o .

Yes, and its close relative the carnivorous poncho (http://www.rose-kim.com/rose-kimknits/2005/03/thursdays-are-for-what-hell-is-this_17.html) :hihi: . beansforyou 27-02-2007, 13:02 oh that poor baby! haha. I quite like the chunky stuff, for snuggling on the settee and getting drunk, if you fall over you wouldn't hurt yourself! I can see me getting stuck in many doorways though. Hecate 27-02-2007, 13:44 I like the look and feel of chunky yarn too; I made a scarf last winter using it, though if you go a bit too chunky, even in a scarf. it can look a bit Michelin man-like :hihi: . I only wore the scarf a couple of times because it made me look like i was wearing a wooly neck brace. I'll go for something a little less bulky next time, I think. |
