Excellent! Another sock knitter is born :D . Be warned, it's very addictive. You'll be buying nothing but sock yarn soon.

Your first link to the photo worked fine, but the second link doesn't work for me. I think you might have missed the last part of the link off (the bit after 'sheelaghphotos').

They work fine, though the second one sent my eyes a bit funny :) .

Good for you, you can't beat warm feet in the wintertime.

Remind me what yarn you used for those, because they'd be great for walking boot socks. Someone has been bugging me to make some socks that are thick enough to go in boots, and if I can knit them up on 6 mm DPNs, I should be able to breeze through them.

Was it just the basic stocking stitch sock pattern you used? How many stitches did you cast on?

I knitted them for son/hubby for their work boot's, they were knit in chunky wool, from easy pattern

knitting socks is addictive. I started knitting my first pair of socks in January and I have knitted pretty much nothing else since. At my recent Knit Club half of us were knitting socks, so it's also contagious. I love the fact that there is no sewing up!
