Anyone know of anywhere thats got a/some decent full size (9"x 4 1/2") american pool tabels???.

I go down rileys on Mansfield Rd quite a lot but recently its been p***ing me off quite a bit. I take my pool pretty seriously and find it rally hard to concentrate in there at times. Anyone know any private clubs with decent tabels????

Cheers.

I go to Rileys too. the table at the bottom of the steps has the best cloth but it's irritating with people walking past all the time!.

It just p***** me off that they have to have the music so load at night. I used to go in the afternoons which were great but due to work i cant do that anymore. I'm usually on the tabels in the corners. (8 or 10)

Is it just 9 ball your wanting to play?

Isn't there another Riley's near Eccy Road?

When I was a member of that particular Riley's they did Free 9 Ball for a while, do they still do that?

I like watching the 9 ball players. Some of them seem to take pleasure in trying to bend their cue when breaking off.

Yeah i only usually play 9 - ball and the very occasional game of straight pool.(pita)

I was in the Rileys near Eccy rd last Friday and its about 1000000X worse than the one on Mansfiled Rd. The tables are so close togther you can't even bend down properly to take a shot!

They dont do the free 9 - ball anymore but you can play all day for £8 - £11.

It's small, but very good IMHO... Membership is not compulsory unless you're going to be going in at like gone 11 at night.

And I don't think you will find much competition there going by the standards of some of the 8 ball players that frequent the place. :hihi:
