Any ideas on how to get movies or anything i record on my sky+ box direct to my pc???

My dad has sky plus and I think he gets his broadband off them now too, but I know that he can get all the movies and stuff directly from them by logging into there site and I dont think it costs him anything as he is paying for them anyhow. Im think tho that you register your mac address of your pc tho to make sure its you who receves them .

have you got a sky account on there site ? or is it possible to get one with subscription to sky plus anyhow ?

dont know if you can do it direct, sure there will be a way, but the way Ive done it is to record from the sky box onto a portable hard drive media player (mines a thompson lyra) then transfer them to the computer. done this to then share the video of a couple of regional broadcasts via MSN fileshare with friends in Scotland and Brentford

do you connect the hard drive direct to your sky box or via the pc first.....

You can plug the Sky+ Box into your PC using a USB Cable, - make sure you get the correct one though, you want one used for USB to USB Link (aka usb networking) theres programs and drivers available on the web, but depending on your model of sky+ box, it may just be found as a USB Mass Storage Device in windows, and be added as an additional hard drive...
