I'm not thinking of moving right now (but could be convinced!) but I've noticed a lot of very nice, solid semis for sale around White Lane, top of Gleadless, Charnock area, and for reasonable prices. It's got the tram and a fair few shops and bus services, plus there's open country nearby and the schools seem good too. Houses all have drives and garages, large gardens and plenty of space inside - not too many of these modern poky things with kitchen/diners where there's only room for a breakfast bar! Good road connections. Not too far from town, but far enough...

So, what's the deal round there?

Glad to see it seems a decent area!

Do you get many kids hanging about, what with the shops being there and all that? And if you do, are they civilised kids? ;)

I fancy something with a drive and a bigger garden as I've 'gardened' mine out, no more room for new plants...but I have to have excellent transport nearby, and this area seems pretty good all round.
