Found this morning in Longley Park - No suspicious circumstances

Sorry to be pedantic, but do you mean hanged?

I've heard that it was a man AND a woman hanging in the same tree, naked! Anyone else been told this?:confused:

Had he still been there then he would have been hanging - but as they've cut him down I guess hung is correct as the past tense?

police were all over the park this morning

i just read about it in the star 10 minutes ago im usally in the park with the dog around that time glad i didnt go today tho the person who found the body must be shook up pretty bad

As if it makes a difference we all know what... Hung & Hanged means and i feel that Hung in this case is right...

He was Hanged but now its passed so is now hung as internetowl says in the post...

Nope, because of some quirk of the English language, the past tense of hang (as by the neck) is hanged.

Whether or not he was well hung is fairly irrelevant now:D

I agree wouldnt have been nice finding someone just hanging there in the trees...

I live on Longley estate and went to work at about 8ish and saw no activity when I drove past the park.

Unless I was just still asleep...

I agree totally... What diff does it make in the pronunciation its not going to bring his life back...

Don't bring punctuation into a sad story as this, leave it out and have some decency.
My daughters partner was walking to work through the park this morning when the police dashed passed him.
He says he looked about 19 but did'nt mention a second party.
The man according to him had clothes on.

I posted this in order to end the grammar debate and put this thread back on the right lines.


Anyway.......
My wife informed me when I got home from work that our next door neighbour's friend along the road was the one (or one of many) who phoned the police after discovering two (one male and one female) people, both in early 20's, hanging naked from a tree at about 8.30ish this morning.:confused:

Something went off on my road last night and a female was shouting for help fiercely and suddenly it went quiet then a young man passed my house holding his fist as if he had hit something or someone clearly in pain.
Then suddenly it all started again this time over Herries Ave which was weird as the female who shouted for help just did not have the time to get to him as she did not pass my house.
The whole point to this is according to my Daughters boyfiends description of the body was what he was wearing when found which was white trainers and white track bottoms which is what he was wearing last night.
The point that says they were naked blows out his theory that he was clothed and only one body was hanging which he says was hanging at least 20 feet high and his head was red and swollen.
Someones wrong somewhere.

Knowing my neighbour Cycleracer, she's probably the one who's wrong. Checked with wife and she swears this is what she was told.

Either way, poor bugger, eh!

The latest news I have on this situation is he was a Kosovan who was being deported.
Obviously he had other ideas.

I find your quip about this unfortunate man totally out of order and disrespectfull.

Please remember this man has left a family and it is not right that you make light of this tragedy when they must be grieving at this time.
