I went to Woodseats school from 1939 to 1945.
In those days, after the Infants' section, the school was split into boys and girls.
My first memory was the bell that was rung in the morning to summon the pupils. This ceased when war was declared and it never rang again afterwards.
There were good teachers, mediocre teachers, bad teachers and terrible teachers!
