Greenday have announced their first UK and Ireland tour for two years to celebrate the massive success of current album American Idiot.

They'll play 13 dates kicking off at the Birmingham NIA on January the 23rd.

Tickets go on sale this Saturday.

The tour continues at:
London Brixton Academy (Janurary 24&25)
Nottingham Arena (27)
Manchester MEN Arena (29)
Dublin The Point (31)
Plymouth Pavilions (February 2)
Cardiff Arena (3)
Brighton Centre (5)
London Hammersmith Apollo (6&7)
Newcastle Arena (8)
and finally, Glasgow SECC (10).

All tickets are £22.50, except in London where they're a pound dearer.

I'm sick of travelling to see bands. At least it's not too bad this time. Lots of bands I want to see play once in London then p off for another 3 years.

The net was so messed up the day we were trying to buy the tickets, ended up buying some then it said we hadnt bought them then it said they were sold out at that venue so we went and bought three from another venue and now they tell us we have six tickets all together!! gonna make a fortune on Ebay-will buy us our drinks for sure!!

The trouble is with Green Day there stage show is exactly the same every tome. I have seen them 3 or 4 times now and they played exactly the same classics, then a few off the album of the time and then they select 3 people from the crowd to play one of there songs. I do love them and they are amazing live but wouldn't pay specificly to see them as they play the same set over and over. Rumoured to be at Leeds 2007 tho and I will definately watch them there.

Leeds is always good anyway regardless of who is playing. I don't even look at the line up really till I get there. i know the main bands I wanna see but thats it. I just go for the atmos. Foooookin amazin it is a tell thi. You ever been!!!

Nah, its a food distribution place. We have van salesman out on the road, and they have drug/alcohol tests, so we have to aswell... Company policy. Its so its not seen as 'a rule for one and a different rule for another' if you get me.

Milton Keynes was awful. I knew they'd sold out (as opposed to just thinking it) that day. The best band on by far were Taking Back Sunday.

None of the older stuff, bar the 'big' hits; half of 'American Idiot'.

They've sold out big style. But as I've said before, check out Pinhead Gunpowder and the Network - Billie Joe's other bands.

You'll love Pinhead Gunpowder. Just like old Green Day. They've done about 5 albums. I love them all.
