May this thread be the place to list them.
I for one suggest these researchers have to come up with something to keep their funding going.
im sure I just heard Dr Chris on the tele say if youve put on three stone since the age of 20 that makes you a higher risk of womb cancer. Thats me buggered then!
Living past 30 seems to be a prime contributor, that and watching telly: both factors common to many sufferers. I think this requires investigation.:)

Forget about gaining the weight- just have a hysterectomy. Risk reduced to nil.
Blade1983 21-02-2007, 11:40 Oxygen.
studies show that 1 in 3 people who breath oxygen will contract cancer at some point of their lives.
however, a cure for cancer is becoming ever closer - OXYGEN.
recent studies show that 2 of every 3 people who breath oxygen will live their entire lives cancer free.
Agent Orange 21-02-2007, 11:40 Super foods, apparently. All fruits and veg that are red are classed under this category and, if eaten regularly, are a good way of combatting cancer and other nasties. I have taken this advice quiet literally and have now started eating tomatoes as often as I can.

Preventers: YOU!
BasilRathbon 21-02-2007, 11:43 Apparently smoking 20 cigarettes a day stops you getting cancer. At least that's what my doctors - Dr Benson and Dr Hedges say.....
Blade1983 21-02-2007, 11:49 according to the ACS (American Cancer Society) - "Smoking accounts for some 30% of all cancer deaths"
So that means that some 70% of all cancer deaths are non smoke related.
So statistically speaking, you're less likely to die of cancer if you're a smoker!
----
I'm a non-smoker by the way, but it goes to show that you can make statistics say whatever you want them to say!

I think we die of heart failure and blood clots before the cancer takes hold.

I'm afraid its not either/or
Generally speaking if you smoke there's around a 50% chance you'll die from it and by far the biggest change to your chances of getting cancer comes from stoping smoking (even better - don't start)
i've had it once so i'm hoping thats my share over!!
i've had it once so i'm hoping thats my share over!!
And I've had it twice- so one of you out there got a 'get out of jail' card from me.
Hope you're all grateful.
if one in 3 gets cancer. then 2 people should be very grateful to me! thats 4 for you medusa!

although if mine comes back I'll get paid out on my critical illness cover, which could pay off my £100k mortgage.... and place I had it isn't likely to kill me, so it might not be all bad!
