Does anyone know anything about getting crane licenses, ie luffing jib & saddle jib, slinger/signaller, tower crane rescue.

Is there much work out there for newly qualified operators, & roughly what is the pay?

Just out of curiosity as it is relatively expensive to do your training, but if there are plenty of jobs & the pay is good then obviously it is worth doing it.

Any advise welcome.

There is an old thread on here about it, you can get you crane license out near j34 where all the crains are. Not sure about work afterwards tho.

You will have to fill in the contact enquiry form first and the details will be forwarded to you. Currently there is no letup in crane industry and should be good money, (£800 - £1000 per week) even past 2012 when the olympic stadiums and new city centres have been built.

Give Bobby Beveridge a call on 07768341362. He owns and runs the tower crane school just off J34 of the M1. I have just finished the course and become qualified. I can strongly recommend it, I also have a start on monday. So the work is out there!
