went to halfords the other day and bought one of them spotlight torches, its something like 7.5 million candle power. Should have been £49.99 but got it for £20 now i think thats a great investment, but my girlfriend says that its sad. Now you never no when things like this are going to come in useful, i obviously told her to shut up and she knew nothing, but i wanted to no what other peoples thoughts were does any other lads have problems with there girlfriends not understanding that lads always buy rubbish because its the biggest or the best.

There seem to be a lot of these super powerful torches on sale at the moment. What do you intend to use it for?

My husband is obsessed with torches too (I think he has about 4). I'm not sure when he's going to use them, but they do make good emergency weapons if ever faced with an intruder!

your torch probably wont fit in your car if you go camping! i think it was a waste of money, you could have spent it on something else more useful like clothes!

I can understand it from a practical point of view, but then again why would you need a torch so powerfull?? I think the only thing you would be able to do with it, is to use it as a secondary light on sheffields police helicopter if theirs failed.

My dad bought one a few years ago. It like a bit spotlight and its really really bright and I dont think hes used it for anything yet. He has played practical jokes like shining it through the room window or kitchen window when my mum is watching the tv and he makes her jump. She goes mad with him.

From a womans point of view, yeah what a waste of money. You could have took your girlfriend out or given her the money to buy something for herself.

Its like my boyfriend all he buys with his money is DVD's!!!! I dont see the point in having loads of DVD's when you have seen the film once. Its a waste of money to me. Ive told him he should buy some more clothes or buy something decent for the house.

Hope this helps

There's probable a bat shaped splodge on the lens...give it a wipe and your problem should be solved!

Torches are rather phallic, aren't they? I wonder if Spadge has any insecurities in the...er...trouser department?

Spadge, don't worry about it. Torches are cool, they're one of those things you can't really have too may of, like cigarrette lighters, penknives or old mobile phones that don't work anymore.
Your Mrs'll be grateful one day, when the power to the whole of the city goes off, or you need to navigate your way out of a huge abandoned mine workings that have suddenly appeared in your back yard........
