I went for a meal with the lady last night to the Castle in Castleton and there were lights everywhere on the main street. We sat down for our meal in the bay opposite The Bulls Head and low and behold, there was Johnny Vegas and Dave Spikey filming a scene getting out of this crappy old taxi and going into the B.Head!!

Someone at work this morning who lives in the village says they have been filming there for the last 2 weeks but does not know what for.

Does anyone here know?

Perhaps Mr T. Foster can shed some light??

I was in Castleton a few weeks ago camping and bloke in the Bulls Head told us that J Vegas was in the pub filming a new comedy for ITV.

They're filming a new sitcom called Dead Man Weds. Spikey plays a newspaper editor who arrives in a northern town to shake up the local paper. Vegas plays a lazy reporter at the paper. Sounds good.

I always miss things like this. All the more annoying as we were in Castleton a couple of weeks ago. Went to the village of Downham (near Burnley) though and they were busy building false buildings and various props for the new series of Born & Bred. Must be filming there right now.

I was given Dave Spikey's Tape, it's 50 minutes of stolen clubland gags that I've heard a dozen times before, and Johnny Vegas is the luckiest git in Britain, what does he do? Cos he's never made me laugh. Peter Kaye, Toby Foster, Jack Dee, Jimmy Carrol & Mike Kelly, now they are comics! Whatever Vegas & Spikey were doing in Castleton I'll bet my house it's not funny.

Vegas is funny in his own way, not really a comedian more of a bloke that just opens his mouth and for some reason is funny.
Jimmy Carrol is a funny guy and I won a couple of CDs on his radio show last Saturday, still waiting for them.

Yeah, I saw that - they actually replaced all the pub signs so that the pub was called The Douglas Bader

It is very funny. The best one so far was this weeks one. The best bit was when Spikey fell in the canal and went to the pub afterwards:

Landlord: Have you p***** yourself?

Spikey: What, from the knees down?

Landlord: Amazing!
