I've recently moved into a new house. There is currently only a normal socket where the cooker goes (presumably the previous owners just needed it for the timer/sparker on their gas cooker). A few questions:

I'll need to get a special box with an on/off switch fitted if I want an electric oven won't I?
Does anyone know how much this will cost roughly?
Can anyone recommend a sparky?
Would it be better to get the cooker first, so it can be wired straight into the box, or should I get the box fitted first?
How much would it cost for a corgi person to connect the gas hob?
Can anyone recommend someone? If by any chance there's someone who could sort out the gas and electrics at the same time that would be very helpful.
