I am wondering if anybody recommends dog agility class within the rotherham or sheffield area as we just live outside tingsley. We have 2 black labradors.
Asher is bouncy and jumping, leaping and stuff so we really think he would do well at this.

toby has hip and elbow dypasia, we want to take him hydrotherapy after having an operation in november. He is alot better since as he loves to play more then he did beforehand.

they are both a year old and males.
just wondered if anyone has any ideas here.

HI,

We go to and so do some other people off here to an agility class at Wickerlsey, Rotherham, at the end of morthern road, last bungalow on your left going up.

Starts 11am every sunday morning.

Lady that runs it is called michelle and she is really really nice. We take our 2 labradors, Molly and pippa. It can be as fun or serious as you want it to be. Its very very relaxed. Its £4 per hour per dog. People normally stay for 1-2 hours max.

I can give you michelles number if you wish to ask her any questions. Im sure she wouldnt mind.

I dont know any hydrotherapy places im afraid, would your vet know any?

Our chocolate lab is very very giddy so im sure yours will love it there.

Good luck and let me know if you want her number and i will PM you ? xx

Yes we go to the same one as Tattybear, and it's fantastic I must say. They start you off gently but they do push you to do it and they compete with their dogs so whether you want to compete or not, will always train you in such a way that it's possible to go on to competition level.

If you find any hydrotherapy places could you please let me know? We have a 12 year old who is ok at the moment but his legs are stiffening up a bit and I've been thinking about hydrotherapy for a while.
Thanks

My dog, a boxer dog, has hip dysplasia too, and I took her for 3 months of hydrotherapy in Nottingham. It is just off J27 (M1), and takes less than a hour to get there. I know it seems a long way but the results & care were worth it.

My dog responded very well to the swimming. From being virtually lame on the first session, she was almost back to normal after 10 sessions (with the addition of liquid glucosamine - magic stuff!)

Amanda & Steve are great. their web address (not allowed to put on)...so google hydrotherapy + hucknall, and it is the nottingham canine hydrotherapy centre.

We've been going to AquaVet hydrotherapy, over at Moscar Sheffield. Our lab is loads better after his operation. All the staff are great & they even have their own vet to check things are going ok.

I've also been to the one in Nottingham that's previously mentioned. I took a rottweiler with severe hip displacure, and he responded brilliantly to it. It really is worth the trip, the owners were great, and only allowed people to use it if their animals needed it, there was no pet pampering thing!
