Electric fencing or a big gun!

A big dog would work I suppose.

Lion poo :hihi:

It makes them think the territory is owned by someone bigger than them.

The only reliable way of stopping other cats from regarding your back yard as their territory, is to have your own cat.

... or a washing Up liquid bottle or kid's toy water gun full of water- squirt em if they come into the garden- it won't hurt the cats but do it often enough they'll go somewhere else instead. Nb pref not one of the high pressure toy guns tho- sorry I'm a cat lover and that would be just too cruel. Do not resort to catapults or other missile projectors - you could find yourself being reported to the RSPCA.

Granted, it's not a great solution for people who don't like cats. But *anything* else you use will only work as a temporary measure; once the other cats get used to it, they'll ignore it.

I'm afraid it's a case of get a cat yourself, or live with it, since you're not allowed to use the only other effective solution - a 12-bore shotgun.

There's a plant you can buy, I can't remember the name of it though sorry - I would imagine Google would yield some results though.
ANyway, about 6 - 8 of these plants in pots or in soil around the area should work.
The orange peel solution works too, we used it on the front garden of our old house which had become a feline latrine. We shredded up several oranges and onions and throw it all over the garden, did that for a few weeks every 3 - 4 days and it worked a treat.
The plants worked on our little veg patch on the back garden.

A dog is always a good solution, although we had a similar problem with our neighbour's cat and bought a super soaker and everytime we saw the damn thing in the garden it would get a good soakin :D It certainly did the trick after several soakings lol.

It is all very well having ways to soak these retched pests when you see them enter your garden, but I for one am not going to stay up all night to do this.

You can get a powder from wilkinsons that is a cat deterrent it smells of garlic though so i don't know which you'd prefer

......I buy those small tealight candles with Citronella in them.
Take them out of the holder and crush them.
I then Sprinkle it over the flower beds.
Unlike the powders, pellets, etc they are not affected by rain.

I suppose we could petition for 2 x 6 month hunting seasons :hihi:

"How do i stop the cats fouling my back yard?"

Build a cats' toilet in your front yard?

My uncle (who is a competent shot with airguns) used to have the same trouble. The cat used to leave his garden with an inch off its tail at each visit.

Suffice to say, the cat doesn't visit anymore.

Orange and grapefruit peel is supposed to work, but didn't for us.

They don't like Jeyes Fluid.

Owning a Jack Russell Terrier has an advantageous effect.

I've also used those high velocity "suoer-squirter" water pistols to discourage a Tom from hanging around.

cats dont like citrus so anything citrusy shud keep them away, cat also dont like pepper so a sprinkling of that over your garden might keep them out.

the last resort would be to concrete your garden or direct your neighbours to these sites

Ridiculous..think how many moths he would have to catch and then try to cut their balls off?

Get some empty pop bottles (the 2 litre ones) and take the labels off so you just have several large, clear plastic bottles. Fill them with water and lay them on their side in the garden. It does work, honest! Its something to do with the reflection off the water that cats dislike.
Well its worked for me anyway.....and please dont resort to hurting any moggies in your quest to keep em off your land :(

My mums neighbours got one of these because she's terrified of cats. All four of my mums cats lie on her lawn with a puzzled can you hear something look on their faces.
It doesn't put them off though.

Show them a yellow card. If they carry on fouling you can send them off.
