My missus (baileys mum) got some gerbils today from someone here and I wondered if they could actually have "monkey nuts" I have 2 rats and they have no problems eating them so I was wondering if it would be safe enough to give them 1 or 2 every now and then, as a treat.

My gerbil when I was younger lived for 5 years and and he ate nuts and any other fruit he could get old off, including chips.:thumbsup:

I looked on their packet of food and it has peanuts in but i was wondering if they are best to have them without all the casing that you get with monkey nuts or if it wouldnt make any difference.

Mine used to love Walker's Cheese & Onion crisps and pappadoms.

they have no probs with monkey nuts!!!
