View Full Version : Coca Cola? Or Pepsi?
dynamicdebz 16-02-2007, 22:15 OK so I got the idea from the black jack or fruit salad thread but come on Coca cola isn't a patch on pepsi.
I can omly drink brandy with pepsi in it.
I find Coca cola quite tasteless just a fizz of bubbles.
I'd rather die of dehydration than drink either thank you.
coke, by the pint full. 8 litres a week just about suffices (4pack), but my teeth and my brain wish i didn't. Can't drink pepsi.
dynamicdebz 16-02-2007, 22:24 Well to be honest with you I don't drink fizzy pop as a rule I can only drink brandy with pepsi, never coca cola or any cheap cola.
Occasionally on a hot summers day I will have a cola with ice but coca cola is awful & tasteless, pepsi is just so cooling & has a lovely taste.
Ghostrider 16-02-2007, 22:25 Pepsi every time - its not as "syrupy" as coke...
Used to drink lots of diet coke, and was rather partial to diet cherry coke. Haven't had either in a good while though - they taste far too sweetly artificial. The full sugar versions are just teeth-fuzzingly awful :gag: .
dynamicdebz 16-02-2007, 22:31 I can't abide anything sugar free or diet as I can taste the sacarin in it & it leaves a lasting taste in my mouth.
I am 40 next month & my teeth are perfect, had a couple of fillings & wisdom teeth removed, so I don't think the pepsi has done me any harm.
Just make sure you brush twice a day & floss.

It's not so much the damage the full sugar coke can do to your teeth; it's the feeling it leaves in your mouth a few minutes after drinking it - like the sugar is instantly coating your teeth (which it probably is).
walter wall 16-02-2007, 22:38 I like a nice bit of coke personally.
Lady_Cat 16-02-2007, 23:56 I mainly just drink water...
but when i do occasionally drink fizzy it is Coca Cola for me!
HappyHoosier 17-02-2007, 03:50 Coca-Cola all the way! It's like drain cleaner for the throat; I have one every morning just to clear the pipes.
Would rather go thirsty than have a Pepsi.
Coca-Cola easily wins for me.
Pepsi tastes like cheap supermarket mouthwash.
littlemissy 17-02-2007, 09:32 Coca cola all the way.
Agent Orange 17-02-2007, 10:32 It has to be Pepsi Max for me.
melthebell 17-02-2007, 10:36 pepsis too sweet :(
Proper coke every time, Pepsi's nasty :gag:
walter wall 17-02-2007, 11:04 Proper coke every time, Pepsi's nasty :gag:
WTG Rich, you can't beat a bit of proper coke can you
pertfoxylush 17-02-2007, 11:51 Skinny (diet) coke only, can't drink that full sugar one!
Don_Kiddick 17-02-2007, 11:54 I like Pepsi Chino - if you stir in a couple of extra spoonsfull of instant coffee you get a massive caffeine kick :hihi:
Carefull though, the granules make for a violent reaction - softly softly catchy headache
weenireeni 17-02-2007, 12:05 i love pepsi max,dont drink it often enough :(
coke is t oo fizzy and doesnt taste of anything!
I like both (Depending on me mood)
Pepsi every time - its not as "syrupy" as coke...
omg, i think its much more "syrupy" as you put it....
but then, I only ever drink diet coke, normal coke is too sweet for me, as is pepsi and diet pepsi...
Madornay 08-11-2007, 04:17 I watched a program today, it had this women that was allergic to diet pepsi made her face swell.
I've never been a fan of pepsi.
I have seen the experiment that shows cola rotting a tooth overnight, never drank cola since.
I would recommend water, orange juice.

I know exactly what you mean, and often get bizarre looks when I try to explain this to people I know when they ask why I drink diet drinks with large meals.
As for coke v pepsi.... it all depends.
I prefer Coke Zero over Pepsi Max
I prefer Diet Pepsi over Diet Coke
I prefer anything pepsi over cherry coke.
swordfish1 08-11-2007, 06:42 Coke every time.
Jack Daniels tastes crap with Pepsi.
muddycoffee 08-11-2007, 06:55 When I got to about 34 years of age, I realised that cola was utterly revolting. And ever since I would rather drink water. When I was younger I used to like drinking it, but it just tastes like chemicals and lots of sugar now.
When I was younger I thought that cola was "cool" to drink. Now I am less interested in what others think I I have stopped watching tv, the spell has worn off and I realise it is a kind of conspiracy, which is there to tell you it "has a great taste" when in fact it is revolting.

It's not like you hang little nano-buckets of fizzy pop off each tooth for 24 hours though, is it? When I have a drink I tend to throw it down me gob so that it must touch my teeth for all of 0.05 of a second. I also brush me teeth.
I often think these experiments are just bad science shown to trick people into not consuming Verboten substances like pop, crisps and fags. Just like the ads trick you into consuming 'em.
But yeah, I like cola, a good one is like ale to me as I hardly drink - and I choose full fat Coke or Diet versions of Pepsi. Diet Coke is vile. I prefer lemonade though. ;)
Coke is the best taste on Earth!
I only drink Coke or milk, but to make sure my teeth don't rot, my dentist told me to drink through a straw so the coke doesn't touch my teeth.
If I had to choose between them then either pepsi as its less fizzy or the cheaper of the two. But to be honest I have quarrels with both companies and both drinks are bad for you anyway so I try my best to avoid.
I love Pepsi Max but most fizzy drinks gives me the Eartha Kitts big style.
Coke all the way i like pepsi but coke just got the egde and cherry coke is lovely.
Marooned 08-11-2007, 23:55 Diet Coke for me.
getto_sniper 09-11-2007, 00:22 if you watch this at first it may seem off topic but you will see my point if you watch the first min or so http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UkFVROcVgA enjoy your coke
.

Yeah, I agree, that stuff is really nice!
I know it's bad for me but I love cola.. I'm particularly partial to Pepsi but if Cherry Coke is available that will win every time!
bladeswench 09-11-2007, 02:24 Dr. Pepper!
04jessops 10-11-2007, 14:17 Pepsi is just watered-down coke.
Neither, if I can I take Sainsburys "Classic Cola" evertime. Far superiour.
:gag: the stuff they do in the cans? horrible I think they've changed the recipe or something cause it's far too sweet. Diet's not too bad
steveb2007 10-11-2007, 18:23 Pepsi Max is the nicest, better than coca cola.I don't like Diet Pepsi,it doesn't taste nice at all!
