carterb 12-10-2004, 08:17 AM Morning all
I have to arrange a work xmas party for about 20 people. On either the 16th or 17th of December.
Ideally we want dinner and dancing, but open to any suggestions.
Im aware how difficult it will be to book something this late, so time is of the essense.
Merry Xmas everyone (oh god - its nearly here)
nez75 12-10-2004, 11:54 AM Why not try the Novotel?!
nick2 12-10-2004, 11:57 AM The Rutland Hotel (near the Halamshire hospital) is doing a 70's themed Christmas party thingy.
Deano1889 12-10-2004, 12:04 PM lol, like the idea of Novatel!
I've just booked our works party on the 17th at Blue Water - Victoria Quays.
We debated the following
Ha-ha Bar
Cutlers Hall
The Place in Broomhill
Grovesner Hotel
Hanarahan's
I know Hanrahans were chocca Block with bookings.
The Grovesner hotel had a good menu and has disco and dancing after the meal (4pm) probably sounds your best bet if they still have vacancies.
nick2 12-10-2004, 12:37 PM What kind of food do they do at Blue Water, and what are the prices like ?
Deano1889 12-10-2004, 01:09 PM Starters
Smoked Duck Salad
Warm Mediterranean Veg & Goats Cheese tartlet
Trio of Melon
Terrine of Salmon
Main Course
Traditional Roast Turkey with all trimmings
Lightly baked Shark steak with prawns, lemon and herb butter
Pan-fried 8oz rib eye steak with brandy and peppercorn sauce
Loin of pork topped with Brie, apples, mushrooms and calvados sauce
Spinach and Tom roulade with creamed leek risotto
Desserts
Christmas Pudding with rum sauce
Raspberry cheesecake with rich dark chocolate sauce
Chocolate fudge brownie and vanilla cream
Tropical fruit salad
19.95 per head
They also do a Buffet x-mas lunch at 14.95 for the less formal x-mas lunch
Hope this helps
Regards
Deano
nick2 12-10-2004, 01:52 PM Sounds good.
Whats the food like the rest of the year, is it All Bar One kind of stuff ?
Deano1889 12-10-2004, 02:11 PM Im not sure on that. If i remember rightly there was a recent post on Bluewater.
Regards
Deano
newdawnevent 12-10-2004, 05:04 PM Party Planning is what we do. We can set up an event in your workplace or hire a venue for you. We can even book you in one of the larger events in and around Sheffield. Let me know what you want to do and I'll put a proposal together for you.
