He has a large ulcer type thing on his top lip and it has grown lots even on antibiotics.

The vet has now given him some more anti-inflammatory stuff but he said that it is most likely that it is a face eating tumour :( :( :(

So he is going back to the vet on Tuesday at 5:40 and the vet thinks that he will probably be put to sleep.

Thank you. We've only just lost one hamster but that was from old age and poor Barney is only one and a half. He seems to be in such good health, its so sad.

Awww- I'm sorry to hear about this love. Poor Barney to have to go through this. I'm facing similar with Merlin at the moment- she's gone downhill and lost lots of weight worryingly quickly in the last week, but we have to wait until next Friday to see the cardiologist.
