View Full Version : Start a political party
I reckon I or someone should set up a political party which represents the true value of people.
Now I know it only costs £25 to register a party.
I'm thinking of the Purple People Party which represents the people of England who disagree with all the other parties and how this country is run.
I wouldn't be capable of doing the PMs job myself although I have very strong views (tho I guess thats what the cabinet is for) but a seperate party could certainly wobble the others into thinking about people really want and how to win people over.
Anyone got any suggestions of what they would have as policies for the PURPLE PEOPLE PARTY?
What else do you have to do with a political party and how do we go about it and when?
I would abolish reverse racism.
Crack down on useless drivers and enforce additoinal driving tests for people who cause accidents by dangerous driving.
Create a top limit for working hours and a basic salary for all which is reasonable. Thats for starters.
While Im at it - to refer to my idea of what policitcians should be addressing:
Deal with the fireworks issue - make it something acceptable for everyone, I dont know how but thats not my job.
Deal with the ridiculous road systems - who's bright idea was it to dig up from Arundel Gate down to Staples then lay it in a different formation before digging it up again and relaying again? What a waste!
Give enforced penalties to offenders such as the litter picking, I like that idea. Make the parents do it with or even without the child and further penalise for ignoring it. This city is becoming a joke considering the way many people act and that there are unsafe areas... that should never happen.
Make anyone who is the cause of a traffic accident (by stupidity) retake driving test. Like speeding, illegal maneouvres (however u spell it LOL), talking on handheld mobile etc etc.
Deal with drainage if the floods are becoming an issue, dont just ignore it to happen over and over again.
Use the wasted, empty buildings in Sheffield, offer them to young enterprise opportunities and let people spread their wings.
Bring back youth clubs, they were almost totally wiped out in Sheffield in around 1990, cant recall why but I was part of the force to prevent it and wrote to Michael Heseltine, my local youth club stayed open because of it. It kept some really obnoxious people off the streets, I know cos they were all members!
Give enforced parenting classes to children of childbearing age, they might think twice if they have to sit through 10 night feeds as a practice with one of those dreadful crying dolls. While at it, show them a video of an episiotomy, then see if any of the girls really think 'it's time'!
Create 'community workers', people who address a specific area to see what they want and how they want to achieve it. Funding for small local development is there in bags and so much can be done by people who want to do it.
Do something about the beggars - I dont know what - I wish I did, but urgh! Surely the Salvation Army help with those sort of things, what about litter picking in return for a small fee or a meal voucher or something.....
Do away with having to get planning permission to do something to your own property (inside). I dont own property, its not a personal issue, I just think its ridiculous and it means you don't truly own your own property in my eyes.
Put some limits on asylum seekers, I don't have a problem with it but the Uk has been taken for granted now and we've become an international free for all. The national distribution doesn't exist and certain cities are suffering more than others. France seems to manage very well.
Furthermore, no racism or prejudice in general but differences should be recognised and accepted. A spade is a spade no matter which way you look at it and it wont become anything else just cos you dont likes spades!
Wizzzard 12-10-2004, 00:30 Ok What about all the tossers that see it acceptable to spit on the streets or anywhere they see fit. It's a filthy habit, I think an on the spot fine shoud be introduced £50 should do it, that would teach the little (and the big) gits.
Free classes to teach people manners and when and where to draw the line in any situation. I would work to teach people the difference between right and wrong.
And finally for now, lets bring back a bit of physical violence for criminals. If you have some cocky 14 year old or however old let's not threaten them with a caution or "your parents will be informed" Let's just take them out of the way and give them a good pasting, I would like to see them make w*nker signs at people then.
What about that guy who was jailed for shooting a thieving little sh*t in his own home. What has the country come to when you are penalised for protecting your possesions. I'm glad the kids dead and I hope he had time to realise wht he had done before he died.I'm not saying we should have a free for all where we can all shoot who we want I'm just saying lets make it a little clearer that this is what happens when you try and burgle people's houses. we could put government warnings up on all the windows " warning stealing can seriously damage your health, especially if you end up with shotgun pellets up your a*se you thieving little tosspot".
Sounds great! you guys write up a manifesto and then see whether you would fit into the right or left wing catergories.
So far you have more or less quoted the BNP with some of their policies.
espadrille 12-10-2004, 05:59 As I work for a charity that helps people find employment who have a learning disability/mental health problem, I see so much ignorance in employers attitudes.
I am not sure that the disability discrimination act addresses that.I would make employers atend training sessions and address the issues that need to be addressed to give everyone a right to work, regardless of disability, background etc
I also have my own website
www.healthylivingmadesimple.co.uk, promoting environmentally frindly and safe household products.
I have written to my local MP weeks ago to get the Govts policy on the misuse of all the supermarket products and have still not received a reply!!.
We are literally poisoning our families by using the toxins everyday and no one is being made aware of it because the Government does not know what to do.

Why? It's policies that are left/right authoritarian/libitarian, not parties. For example, the BNP are left/authoritarian on economy and right/authoritarian on social policies.
I think as a society we have lapsed in the last 30 years into somehting which no one quite likes.
I would personally put certain actions in place until it worked.
Things in the say 40's or 50's were a damn sight different to now and thats for reasons like capital punishment, public expectation etc.
If we expect more from our young people in terms of being a human being and do less to mollycoddle them perhaps society could have an about turn and become something we appreciate rather than abuse.
I would prefer not to have strong authoritarian positions on anything and I don't like the nanny state idea BUT if it will work to change things then we should do it and reserve it as a clause.
Policies now stand that we allow situations to development which would never have been tolerated 30 years or more ago.
Admittedly, somethings have changed for the better but not enough.
lol why bother creating your own party, your idea for a party has the very similar ideas to the conservative party.
A.B.Yaffle 12-10-2004, 12:40 How about a policy that from now on we are going hand out real punishments to people who use a car to kill someone.. ie drink drivers. They know it is wrong to drive a car if they have been drinking, just the same as someone who carries a gun knows it is wrong to shoot. I think we should charge people with manslaughter if they kill someone while driving under the influence of alcohol. And people should serve the sentence handed out to them... not only half of it or less.
100% agree with patchy also add capital punishnent for terrorism, child pervs, and murder if dna proves it,bring back 2years conscription for all british people ,this to include all passport holders, whether home or abroad ( i think i read somewhere israel has this in operation ) and cap petrol prices
A.B.Yaffle 12-10-2004, 14:52 I tend to be in favour of the death penalty for murderers, but I would worry about mistakenly convicting and executing the wrong person.
Put some limits on asylum seekers, I don't have a problem with it but the Uk has been taken for granted now and we've become an international free for all.
Jeez, it always comes down to this. This is a non-issue and people should stop taking the Daily Mail at face value.
cognacbernha 12-10-2004, 15:45 Brilliant idea mate.I`m sick and tired of watching lies drip from the tongues of the MP`s when they`re interviewed on T.V. programmes. However, instead of starting a new political party, wouldn`t it be better to push for a non party process so that all elected MP`s actually vote for things that are good for the country as opposed to voting on the party lines for something that they probably don`t agree with anyway. Corruption in party politics runs too deep for any of the current lot to be trusted even to tell you the time correctly. The one law that I would love to see passed would be something to stop people being ripped off for essentials such as water, gas, electricity and public transport.
Hmm Im liking your thinking.
Since I refuse to vote as no party fulfills what I think best I very much doubt that my views reflect the conservatives that much.
And since my thoughts have been compared to both BNP and conservative I find the whole thing comedic.
Sod political parties then!
