Was buggered last night and all day today and I still can't get in now- Anyone else having problems?

I can get online and was querying this with others on the chat room..
In a nutshell though it would appear there are some serious problems right now as a quick visit to the status page shows...

I been trying for the last 90 minutes, when I did get in last nite it threw me out 3 times..
Gawd darn the t'internet at times :rant:
ive just had a thing saying messenger are updating there stuff, and will be being upgraded.

I managed to sign in twice today but it has gone again for me just now, not getting any error message now just wont sign in.

I remember getting an email from hotmail regarding upgrades but there was no date to this.

Yahoo Messenger used to cause me all sorts of grief. My favourite gremlin was when I'd run Yahoo Messenger, quit it, then find that when I pressed the Tab key in Word I'd be tabbed to a different application...:)
Functionally I quite liked Yahoo Messenger - it was just the gremlins and the server reliability that made me think of it as being poo.
What version is MSN Messenger up to these days?
