any ideas?

I managed to drop some candle wax on the carpet after blowing a couple of tealights out, any ideas on how to remove it?

Cheers

Cover the wax with brown wrapping paper, shiny side up, and run a warm to hot iron over it. The iron will melt the wax and the paper should absorb it.

Don't make the iron too hot especially if the carpet has any nylon in it.

Edit: Quick google reveals this:

Try kitchen roll (Bounty would be best) instead - lots more absorbent!!!

Plus you'll then have 99% of a kitchen roll left! Bonus!

What about trying basically the same as above but using a hairdryer as the heat source.

would a hair dryer be hot enough to melt the wax through the paper? aint you supposed to be getting the wax up to melting point so it can absorb? also the iron provides the pressure required to overcome the carpets pile
