Crush by Dave Matthews Band is an amazing song.
I listen to it regular in the car or at home on CD.

I'm not sure if it would work for a wedding song (I'm assuming for their first dance?) - but to each there own as they say.
You can read the lyrics here (http://www.lyricsfreak.com/d/dave-matthews-band/36489.html) if you like.

I might even be able to 'get the track to you' this evening if you remind me by PM.
It's a great song - a bit long for a first dance I'd have thought.

Crush is fantastic... not sure its a dancing song though, but has a very romantic feel to it. It's one of my fav DMB songs. It is on the long side as well, yeah. I think it's about 8 minutes.

The last wedding i went to the song was "We've only just begun" by the Carpenters, which was very sweet and probably the best choice ive ever heard at a wedding.

I been thinking of "killing in the name of" by rage against the machine  :headbang: :shakes:

Amazed by Lone Star.

My cousin's was AC/DC's 'Highway To Hell''. Not exactly sure what message he was trying to convey, but the old folk loved it.

I got married in May and we didn't have a first dance because we're not the dancing type! The music at our wedding was always going to be a problem for us. We had originally planned to write a playlist of our favourites for the DJ to stick to and then quickly realised that our guests wouldn't hang around very long if we did!

We did joke about having "Smack My B***h Up" as our first dance but in reality I would have gone for either "Today" by Smashing Pumpkins (as close as we'd get to "our" song) or "Dosed" by Red Hot Chili Peppers, which has some lovely lyrics.

I once did a Wedding reception for an Australian couple. They asked for 'Nothings gonna stop us now' by Starship, unfortunately I got my track numbers mixed up and they ended up having the first few seconds of 'Gang Bang' by Black Lace

Luckily the Groom had a sense of humour and said 'I hope not mate I only just married her!'

I never thought about a wedding song before, thinking about it now Id probably have a song by a band called Matchbox Twenty called All I Need. Ive actually given more thought to what song I would like played at my funeral and that would be Meatloafs bat out of hell.

It would depend upon my wifes musical taste. I wouldn't want anything too slow. Maybe Live Forever by Oasis, or Breathing by North and South... :loopy:

I've been with the 'missus' for 10 years and still not married. If i ever did get married i'd have...

MEAT LOAF, BAT OUT OF HELL..... :hihi:

Aaaaghh, something else we've forgotten to put on the 'wedding - to do' list. Mr Strix would probably pick the one that goes - 'I'm a bich, I'm a lover, I'm a child, I'm a mother. I'm a sinner, I'm a saint....' He says he nearly bought it for me. Dunno why

Oh, and Vidster - we've been together 12. Finally stopped letting jobs and house moves and puppies and the weather and .... get in the way! Now just need to get past all the wedding organising stuff, that other people get so emotive about  :nono: :suspect:

We had a very small and quiet wedding (through choice) and didn't do the first dance thing, but we fell hugely in love around the time of Bjorks 'Debut' album. It's still as fresh and original as when first released, and listening to it brings that wonderful time back.
Think I'll go dig it out:love:
