Hello, does anyone know of the new apartments being set up called Kelham Mills, or anyone that lives there?

I'm looking into it at the moment, but couldn't remember if it's anywhere near the city centre or not? Also, anyone knows what it's like? etc?

Regards

Eddie

Unless there's another new development in that area I think you are talking about this.

http://www.derwent.org.uk/home_ownership/South_Yorkshire/Kelham_Mills/

I've also seen this on Haybrooks which I think is the same place

http://www.vebra.com/home/search/vdetails.asp?src=vebra&fd=0&bd=1&db=1&cl=2160&pid=11459883

It's on Adelaide Lane and when I looked into them they only had 2 bed apartments left which cost you a 50% mortgage of £67,000. If you contact them they'll send you all the details of other costs like the rent cost and service charge.

It's about 5-10 minutes walk from the city centre and in a mainly industrial area but I suspect that most of that land will be sold off to developers for other apartment buildings.

Hope that helps.

Hi Eddie, I've moved here from crookes about 18 months ago and i'm very pleased with my flat. Nice and quiet, by the river, and i expect they should be a good investment (mine's risen in value about 12k since i bought it) - they're basically taking a bulldozer through the whole area.

There's a forum for residents of these and the flats opposite across the river here http://brooklynandcornish.myfastforum.org/

You can see the councils plans for the area here http://sccplugins.sheffield.gov.uk/urban_design/pdf/part_4.6%20.pdf

Happy house hunting!
Tom
