How old is she? Has she been spayed, had vaccinations, etc?

If you don't have any luck, the Sheffield Cats Shelter never turn a cat away, and you can guarantee they'll look for a good home for her.

We don't turn cats away, but we do try to make planned admissions in order that we're not overrun one week and half empty the next.

If you're really stuck for somewhere for her to go, please call the Shelter (they try to answer the phone between 1.30 and 4.00 daily) and I'm sure that the wardens will do their best to help you and her out. It may mean waiting a while until a place can be found for her, but it's better to be on the list and then not need the place than to need the place but not have been on the list.

One thing though- if you call and the wardens agree to get her in as soon as they can, and you then make other arrangements, please please please call the Shelter back so that they can arrange for another cat to take that place. I guarantee that there will be someone else equally needy who would appreciate that courtesy.

Hi Lee,

are you still looking for a new home for your cat? Would be interested as wanting a cat for me and my little one, had to leave my other cat with my ex when we split up. Is she nuetered, had vaccinations and how old is she? Cheers

Hi Lee,

Does the cat have a hiding place from the dog?? How long have they been living together?

I ask because our cats and dogs don't really get on, although the dogs would never hurt them, the cats hate the dogs but because we have a stair gate and a cat flap so that the cats can get to places that the dogs can't, they live together in harmony :)

Also, it took a good while for them to settle down enough for one of the cats to be in the same room as the dogs (the other still won't) and now, after 17 months, the cat will come downstairs and sit in the lounge when the dogs are in bed. Before that she didn't dare.

I would hate for you to rehome a much loved pet if there's a simple solution to your problem!
