Hi all,

A friend of ours has come home today to find his vehicle clamped by the DVLA- NCP Vehicle Pound, Mobile Team 1, Claywheels Lane, Hillsborough, Sheffield, S6 1LY. Unlucky as he genuinely was out getting the tax disc after getting it MOT's last week, insured Friday and just received docs this morning. Anyways the question is, do these people actually drive around all the streets checking every car as we have never seen one do this, and we are inclined to think that someone has reported the car (gutted, only been on road for a number of hours!)? That's all we wanted to ask really, do these people drive around or is it more likely that someone reported it?

Ta:hihi:

Mine was taken by DVLA for being parked on road with out-of-date tax... (was parked on side street of a side street, step-dad was taking parts off it everyday)... think it was an estate warden who reported it

the answer to the question is yes they do drive round looking but they also have a list of the location of untaxed vehicles that have been reported so in actual fact you will never really know if they found it driving round or someone reported it. the dvla wont tell you they want to leave you with the doubt,it hurts more
