Is there anybody out there who still plays or is a born again addict? Does any body have any old teams lurking in the loft or under the bed?

I think my stuff went away when I left home to go to university - various small cousins desceneded on my leavings like vultures!

I believe it's back in production now, assuming it ever went away?

Do you know there's a revival underway? There are clubs that run competitions and leagues! A work friend is particularly interested in some of the old '70's teams. Do you guys have any stashed that you could bear to part with?

the redgates open was a great tournement in the 70's...
i entered twice and was knocked out first round twice...with my sufc team....
early 90's me and some mates went out and bought the set again-astro picth etc......must say the standards have slipped..

I thought production of this had stopped a few years back?

I had SHED LOADS, floodlights, stands, riot police, teams, spectators, it was ace….then when I left home my mam binned them…along with a lot of rare vinyl as well…but we wont go into that. Grrrr.

Anyway, what I was going to say is, there is a book about the history of Subbutteo
out that’s about a tenner, but they had it for about £3 in fopp about a fortnight back. Could be worth a look.

During the 1998 World Cup, my mates and I got on a nostalgia trip and bought the lot, set it up on a board, and hammered it for a few weeks.
