In a couple of weeks time my son has to go for his multi-disciplinary assesments at The Rygate Centre.

Does anyone know which bus we can get there? I assume we will have to get to town and get another bus from there.

Any help will be usefull.

Thanks.

If its the one im thinking of we use to get 52 then walk up a lane just past those shops at top of childrens hosp.
are they broomhall shops or crookes, i never know.
is it on manchester road.
i think it was first right ,past those shops at the lights.
and the ryegate centre was at the top of the lane.
sorry very vague.

Ryegate's up Crosspool actually, near the Crosspool Tavern boozer.

It's on Tapton Crescent Road.

Phone number is 2717651.

Get a 52 to Bute Street (http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?client=public&X=432750&Y=387000&width=500&height=300&gride=&gridn=&srec=0&coordsys=gb&db=pc&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&advanced=&local=&localinfosel=&kw=&inmap=&table=&ovtype=&zm=0&scale=5000&up.x=187&up.y=4) ( it's just after the Old Grindstone pub).

If you 'zoom out' the map in the link Tapton Crescent Road will come into view.

Note the 51 bus goes up the A57 which may get you closer depending on where on Tapton Crescent Road it is.

It's quicker getting the 51 to Lydgate Junior School - the Ryegate Centre is on the corner of Manchester Road and Tapton Crescent Road.

I agree get the 51 up to tapton (lodgemoor way)

you can catch the 51 in town from out side Macdonalds at the bottom of fargate in town. they are about every 10-15 mins

good luck, ff, with the appointment,

I second the idea of catching the 51, rather than the 52, because it's practically a vertical hill, coming up from the Crookes side, and the 52.

It's only round the corner from the 51 bus stop. and it's a much gentler hill, much shorter route.

Get off at the stop for Tapton School, (and the Tapton Hill "Congs"/ methodist church; I forget the denomination)

and it's just a couple of minutes walk.

Don't get a 40 (previously known as the 60) unless you want a long uphill walk from Broomhill! As people have said the 51 passes right by and is still doing that route.
