20th November 1984
Owls v Luton Town in the MIlk Cup round 4.
We won 4-2 I think, my mates dad took us. I remember walking up the steps in the north stand at hillsborough and seeing the pitch all lit up by the floodlights, it was magical to a 9 year old kid and I've been addicted to the blue and white wizards ever since.
Can't remember exactly who scored but I know Imre Varadi scored one and Peter Shilton was in goal for Luton.

My first ever football match, Goodison Park, Boxing day, december 94........ Wednesday won 4-1

Wasn't that the game where Carlton Palmer scored a header from outside the box.

Indeed I think it was from the vague memory I have of the game, I was only 7 at the time. We were in Liverpool my auntie had married a scouser (since divorced), so we went to the game whilst there.

Been hooked ever since

Sheff Utd versus Bury Town about 1956-59 at the Lane. Seem to remember in those days you were passed down over the heads of others so that the kids could stand at the front. Learnt later on as I got older to stand at the Shareholders entrance and use those famous words "Will you take me in Mister??"
