Even talking about smoking is something of a dirty, filthy habit.Whenever I hear the word, I always think, ' Oh, My God ', and even tend to 'wave away' the word !

After all, these days, we do not say, " I'm just going for a good s**t. " We say politely, " Just popping off to the toilette. " We don't say, " My mate has just kicked the bucket." We say,"My friend passed on recently".We don't have Dustbin men any longer but Refuse Removal Executive Officers.

So, why should we continue to use the ' S ' word to describe something which is worse than the Holocaust ? Surely, there's something more appropriate ? What about ' Oral Abuse ' ? or ' Misused Chemical Inhalation ' ?

If we are to convert decent, sensible, health-loving people to the cause of non *******, we should get the language sorted out first. These days, I can't be within 100 metres of even a little puff, without feeling acute nausea.
