BB's is on Division Street across from The Frog and Rocky Horrors, I also think that it rates as one of the best in Sheffield, fairly cheap and nice staff.

BB's is on Division Street, it's nice if you are sat downstairs. You are out of the way upstairs and seem to miss out somewhat in my opinion.

Thanks salster. I will take my sister there next time she comes to Sheffield, as she loves Italian as well.

Nonnas is expensive and full of posers but good for a special occasion. Felicine near Berkely Precinct is good too - BBs sounds worth a visit though

I'm not much of a restaurant fan, but I've been told on several occasions by my customers that La Gondola is also very good. (Carver St)

I second Nonna's. It is a little pricey but you pay for what you get. It is top quality good and service and they have a really good choice af authentic wines too, if you're not a wine person they also do loads of speciality beers.

It is full of posers though.... but that is mainly after office hours, they don't normally stay out for the long haul, mostly.

Failing that there is also Santino's on Eccy Road, they do really good Italian too. Not as posh but suitably priced.

I would recommend Vittoria's on Ecclesall Road if you want somewhere romantic. The food is great and the staff attentive, without being overbearing

You could try Piccolo's at the junction of west street and glossop road just before the swim inn. I've never heard a bad word about that place ( till now perhaps:suspect: ). The last time I went the service was brilliant and the food was delicious; I had a vegetable lasagne, a olive salad with loads of tomatoes n mozzarella cheese and actual basil leaves and I pinched some of mi friends olive and prawn platter thingy (I love olives can't resist em!.) Made miself hungry now:rolleyes:

There's also Antibo's near Vodka Rev. V.good food, prices similar to Nonna's. But more space and quite modern and flashy inside. Great cocktail menu too.

San Remo's on Division Street is also good. It has a very homely feel to it and the pizzas are very nice there.

My fave out of all I have mentioned though has to be Nonna's.

Theres a new one opened on Eccleshall Rd which is supposed to be fabulous. Cant remember the name of it now but I know it begins with an 'F'!

Best one I've found is Cerrones (sp?) in Ecclesfield. Great food at reasonable prices.

Ive been to santino's, its pants. Staff are useless, food average, and pricy for what you get.

I'm booked in for San Lorenzo's on Sharrowvale rd for Valentines. Anyone been, whats it like?

Just booked Piccolos for Valentines day. Haven't been yet but if the service is half as good as ity was on the phone I think it'll be ace!

The guy was very polite, very helpful without being pushy, wanted to make sure I understood how Valentines night was working because it was different to a normal night and he was generally the epitome of good service.

Rossi's last Saturday night was a nightmare it was just a big rush, the food was ok but we was still eating our starters when our main meals come out and people were stood behind us with there drinks waiting for us to eat our main meal so they could sit down. You should have seen there faces when we ordered a sweet. They crammed too many people in and not giving enough time between bookings.

When I lived in Sheffield very often went to Mama's and Leonies near Lyceum/Crucible. The restaurant has been there since 1968 and I can honestly say that on each occasion I have been there never had a bad meal. Used to very often go before visit to theatre or if not able to get in before go after the theatre. Also had many office lunches there on special occasions - was always quick service so able to get in and out more or less within the hour.
