Hiya, i was wondering if anyone knew whether they still have billionaire and is it any good? What is the music like and how busy does it get? My friends were talking about it the other day and thought i might pop down and see what it's like.Thanks

They had a billionare on in December so i presume there will still be now. Didn't go mysellf but i know sum of my friends went.

The Crystal website is something that is being worked on by us at present. It will be improved and more user friendly. Any positive, constructive criticisms are welcomed, feel free to PM me.

In my opinion,and not neccessarily everyone elses, the Billionaire just attracts arrogant dicks who like to they were... well, Billionaires.
Students, but the sort who live off Daddy's money.

Other than that particular night, Crystal is a decent bar though, although last time I went, before I went away to China, the lady on the bar, could not identify the difference between Blantons Original & Special Reserve, thinking they were both the same. Might come back here for a drink when I arrive back in the U.K though. Although I'm not a huge fan of the prices (not the worst by far though, but I won't say who is worse.) ,it is forgiveable based on their huge selection, and the place itself.

Billionaires will be rammed..most probably to an uncomfrtable degree. Cheek at leadmill started a few weeks back and is starting to take off now, if you're up for trying something new go there. I'd describe it as a typical student night but with more emphasis on house/dance music than you'd find elsewhere.

Billionaire at Crystal is a really good night. It's still on. They've opened up a new room at the top and now have a really decent house dj playing the members lounge for people who don't like the downstairs vibe. LOL @ spending daddies money... at 1.50 a double ? yeah you must have to be loaded to afford those skyhigh prices. it's always been really busy and to a decent degree as well. ie not too crowded. as for the website it is indeed shocking :P

You'll find that 12p is the price for 2%ABV stuff in real dirty bars, or from a shop in China. (Sometimes, it is really all about dice games in such places!)

However, if you go to a decent, modern nightclub or bar.....
A lot of people are actually into buying spirits by the bottle, something I wish you could do in all U.K bars. Although Chivas Regal or Johnnie Walker Black Label, may be cheap at about £28 (that's the bar price, it's a lot lower in the shops), it's not unusual to see people spend more, I've seen quite a few people in China spend over the equivalent of £100 on bottles of Remy Martin XO or Chivas Royal Salute in the clubs before, so it can still be expensive if you want it to be.

It's better value for money though. Not only that, but people drink these bottles of Chivas, JW, Ballantines etc, like water. Consuming multiple bottles in a group is standard procedure really.

I find at Crystal, the standard normal-ish things are slightly overpriced by U.K standards, yet the good, rarer stuff to actually be offered at a good price.
By the way, I am student myself, when I'm not on placement, I have to put up with the sort as described above on a daily basis, so it's fair to say there's a few of those sort who live off 'daddy's money' around. I do not mean all. I did only go to the Billionaire night once, albeit working, because I used to work at Kingdom (owned by the same company.) and I covered a shift when someone was ill. I may try it again as a customer.

The funny thing about Crystal is house spirits are like 3.00 and the fancy spirits are all like 3.50 :P if only people knew....
