Theyre easier than you think. All you need to grow lettuce is a growbag, similarly with tomatoes. If you fancy some early new potatoes a bin or a bucket will do. Go on pattricia, have a go! Seeds are only 19p in Netto.

I'm getting some huge pots thursday to get them into. I'm going to start em off in the little black plastic pots to start with tho
