That one on the corner of West One. It's that bit of pavement thats been left upturned and fenced off since....lots of time ago.

The fact you have to walk out into the road to get up that way just strikes me as a bit daft.

I know some of the counter arguments (I've had them with meself)
"Cross over then!"
"Pass when there is no traffic"

etc etc blah blah.

Hardly the point. It's been a mess for months now and seems almost forgotten. It's supposed to be a footpath and instead, it's an accident waiting to happen.

Comments?

I work just near there, anad it's a total flaming shambles!

i don't know if you've noticed, sky', but on the opposite pavement to this one, by devonshire green, has the markings for a dropped kerb/ crossing point, yet there is no drop, (it's very high to the kerb, from the road:- this is a grave danger to blind/ visually impaired people, as the lumpy paving stones like those give them "warning" that there's a crossing-point)

I am sure that the contractors' remit was that they were to make-good the paved area they've chewed up during the building works.

and as for the lay-by outside budgens, what a farce,

their darn delivery-wagon drivers can't even be bothered to pull into the layby to drop off the delivery, they have to park their backsides right out, in the road, and obstruct all the Up-bound traffic, it's a total fiasco.
