I think another Handsworth Grange School pupil has been knocked down near the crossing again. I couldn't quite see what had happened when I turned the corner on to Beaver Hill Rd but the police were there, sending the traffic up Old Retford Rd as a diversion. The ambulance sirens could heard be shortly after I went past.
Anyone know any details?
Shame the kids never learn :(

Glad you've formed an opinion based on NO knowledge of what has actually happened.

Because I've seen kids day after day standing at the end of the road waiting for the 52 bus. As the YTS and the First buses go in different directions at this point, the kids then run to the bus stops to catch it.
They then proceed to run across the main road to get on the YTS which results in an accident above.
So thanks for your WORTHLESS input there *rollseyes*
If these kids are over 5 shouldn't they know how to cross the road.Whatever happened to Look Left Look Right etc.Schools don't teach the kids these simple things anymore,if a child has been knocked over I for one hope he or she is ok.

If its the accident I heard about last night, a group of children were crossing the road (on their own when a school trip had come back late) when a car flew over the hill. One of the children shounted stop to the rest but the child in question didnt stop in time.
That was what I heard a child telling her parent when she met her after school, as she was with the group of children, I believe.
