I just got my bloke to order me 2 skeins of lightweight Socks That Rock *Squeal*
I'm so excited as I've heard nothing but good things about the yarn and the colourways are mouthwatering. At $19 each they are a bit pricey - I think it equates to about £9 each but they are for my birthday in March.
I got the colourways Love In Idleness (because the name is puuuurty) and Sunstone. I liked 24 karat but was told that it 'looked like vomit' so didn't order it  See here (http://www.bluemoonfiberarts.com/fiber_type_detail.php?fiber_type_id=61) for the colours.
Bloke was less than impressed at my indecisiveness on which colour to have and definitely was not impressed when I asked him to pick which colours HE liked (it was met with shrugs of shoulders and protests of 'I don't know! It's just colours!' He then went on to say a few that he liked but they were all the ones that I didn't).
Anyway, I have a dilemma (yes, another dilemma!). I can have about £30 more to spend on knitterly goodness for my birthday. I was going to get a set of Knitpicks Options (http://www.knitpicks.com/needles/Needles_Options.aspx) but now I'm not so sure as I don't usually use circular needles. I suppose I could use them as straights at times and they will come in useful for when my knitting is in time out but I need the needles, as you can just unscrew them and leave the knitting on the cable. The things that put me off are that they are in US sizes and that I may not use them lots. What do you think?
If I don't get these then I'll probably get the new Rowan pattern book and possibly just some bits and bobs of other sock yarn.
*Sigh* What's a knitter to do!?
