I just can't get the tech helpline at BT Yahoo to understand the fact that their spam filter is rubbish - big style. I get DELUGED in spam into my BT Yahoo in box, most of which should be picked up at source by a good filter, but which isn't. I was getting up to 100 spams a day until I changed one of my email addresses. I have to keep this email account open because my other email account, msn.com, (which filters spam reasonably well) for some reason doesn't appear to accept form results (from my 3 websites, so I have to forward them to the BT Yahoo box which does). (Why doesn't MSN accept form results?)

Do any other BT Yahoo email users get deluged with spam even when they've used up all their filters, etc? :rant:

Do any other BT Yahoo email users get deluged with spam even when they've used up all their filters, etc? :rant:Well if you do get get through to Bt Helpline its 50p a minute. I get Spam on my Bt Yahoo as well, but doesnt seem to bother the E Mails themselves.

I think I get about 100 spam emails a day into my btinternet addy (which is the same as BTYahoo by all accounts), but most of them go into Junk Mail. However, a small number does get through and, as I use Outlook Express, I can't mark them as spam before I they are downloaded to OE, unless I go to webmail first.

That's all I can suggest really ~ mark them as spam (without opening them if possible), then your spam filter will learn which emails should go into your inbox and which should be filtered to junk mail.

However, keep a check on your junk mail every now and again, because on the odd occasion genuine emails are filtered.

Ah but I do mark them as spam and I've been doing that for YEARS but they still come in their droves with really obvious spam headlines and content. I don't download into OE anymore, I use that for my msn account because it rarely lets a spam through. But like I said, I can't get form results on MSN, goodness knows why, so I have to have the BT.

I may be just being thick, but what do you mean by "form results"?

Form results? I mean I have a fill-out reply form on my websites which people fill out and submit. The results come in fine into BT Yahoo but don't come in at all when redirected to msn.com despite saying the form has been successfully sent. No idea why!
