Some will already have seen this, but for those who haven't:
Baby Sweetcorn (http://whatnottoknit.wordpress.com/2006/12/26/baby-corn-bunting/)
I'm sure knitting that pattern and putting your child in it borders on child abuse...
Oh, and let's not forget this (http://whatnottoknit.wordpress.com/2006/12/28/galaxy-capelet/) piece of turf masquerading as a capelet.
And here's one for if your child is a little psychopath and you've misplaced the straitjacket...
The Crib Sleeper (http://www.threadbared.com/2006/12/bringing_new_me.html).

OMG:o
I may not be the most child friendly person - but I don't think even I could do that to someone who couldn't fight back!!! :hihi:

I thought the crib sleeper looked like an exceptionally good idea :hihi: .
And I thought I was cruel putting niecelet in the hat with the pompoms on! (she did look exceptionally cute in it BTW).

Pom poms are 'in', apparently, so she was a trendy, as well as an exceptionally cute, niecelet.

The Turf models' eyes say it all really don't they
I'm guessing you may have already seen the Chicken Hat (http://www.creatingtextiles.com/new%20chicken%20hat%20closeup.jpg)
which seems to come in a variety of sizes (http://web.mit.edu/ruadh/www/pics/Knitting/RyanChickenHatCloseup.jpg)

Oh. Dear. :|
It's, er, bootiful :hihi: .
You could always make a baby squid (http://www.poormojo.org/cgi-bin/gennie.pl?Squid+232+bi) hat for your offspring if the chicken doesn't do anything for you. But please, don't subject your cat to it...

This is bizarre. Ive just put our little one to bed and thought I bet you can knit something to keep them warm when they throw the covers off ... I wont be having a go at this though.
