Who do you think will or should be crowned Fifa world player of the year?

I think Deco (Portugal) could be in for a shout or Theodoros Zagorakis (Greece), well they did win the european cup. As an outside bet i would say Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal).

as for zagorakis, ask leicester fans why he shouldn't be world player of the year lol

Can't believe Owen is on the list! I think Lampard should be in the short list, he's been a great player for club and country.

I think it might go to Ronaldinho or Henry.

For playing in the Euro 2004 Finals,the top players were,Deco,Rooney,Baros.For me they were the best players,on the outside Frank Lampard he is a cracking player.Henry has shown on the big stage World Cup,Euro 2004 & in the Champions League he is not up to it,he is a great club player but international he is not.

There should be a separate category for most over-rated player from the list. Main contenders, IMO:

Roberto Carlos (show pony)
Deco (lightweight, loses ball too often)
Luis Figo (shadow of his former self these days)
Steven Gerrard (too often a headless chicken at international level)

The award should go to Ronaldinho, who has been absolutely stunning since joining Barca. Think Henry blew his chances by having a poor Euro 2004.

I agree that Ronaldinho is in with a shot and is one of my tips except the only thing is that his CPL form hasn't been anything special

as for Thierry henry what has he actually done? he had a poor champions league with arsenal where his team mates carried him he had a poor euro 2004 where Zidane carried him and he only scores in premiership vs weaker opponents

A lot of names are just on there to make up the numbers and haven't really done anything (Owen, Giggs, Zidane)

The best players in Euro 2004 were Lampard, Deco, Nedved, Baros. Don't really know much about any of the non Europeans.

My vote would go to Ronaldinho, always smiling when he's playing, great talent and should be in the Premiership somewhere.
