We have an old (2000Wreg) Seat Alhambra (7 seater but we only usually want to use 5 - the other 2 fold up). The problem is that there is only a lap seat belt on the middle seat, as the seat is removable, so for our 3 children under 5,we have to use one of the seats at the very back, because we can't use the car seats with a lapbelt - the lapbelts in this model of car are not compatible with car seats. This is inconvenient and means we lost boot space.

Does anyone know of a 7 seater car where all the seats have 3 way belts? Or where the lapbelt is designed to be safely used with a car seat?

Any help much appreciated as the car and car seat manufacturer haven't been any help!

Thanks

I thought the newer models of just about all 7-seaters have proper seatbelts on all seats - or is that just in Germany? We had a Zafira but found the bench seat a bit narrow for 3 child seats in a row. Now have a Galaxy (isn't that basically the same as the Seat? Ours is from 2002) which is great for space, but the extra seats in the back are the big heavy removable ones so not very practical. Apparently the extra seats on the new model are the fold-down type though. Seems like you might have to look for something that's been manufactured a bit more recently....
