View Full Version : Are you ready for some Hot Fuzz?
No it's not an adult site or movie :nono:
Its Mr Simon Pegg's latest creation and the trailer tonight had me in hysterics :D
Comes out on 16th Feb (previews I expect on 15th). Trailer (http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/hotfuzz.html) here
Beakerzoid 03-02-2007, 05:31 Saw it a few days ago at a special preview in Manchester. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish.
If you enjoyed Shaun of the Dead and Spaced, then you will love this British take on the buddy-cop film.
Watch out for the cameo appearances through the film (including a very quick cameo by a famous director dressed as Santa in a shot which is about 1 second long!)
Mattenmurg 03-02-2007, 10:59 Can't wait to see it! Tried to get free tickets to the Odeon preview with Heat but they'd all gone, so if you got one you'd better go!
Can't wait :D Looks as tho it'll be funny...
Fantomas 13-02-2007, 09:46 Saw this at Cineworld last night - very very funny and some excellent and unexpected gore as well!
Was that you doing the introduction Beakerzoid?
StarSparkle 13-02-2007, 09:59 Oh yes, looking forward to it

KJ_VENOM 13-02-2007, 11:13 i need to see this film, and i will, if its half as good as Shaun of the dead it gonna great!
Beakerzoid 13-02-2007, 11:30 so who is santa? i also watched this last night, very good indeed
Heh...was wondering if anyone would ask after doing the into last night.
Santa was none other than Peter "LOTR" Jackson. One of the reps from Universal challenged us to identify him and the person who plays Angel's ex-girlfriend (Cate Blanchett - my collegue insisted it was Kate Beckinsale...but he was wrong).
Movie references abound throughout, and i hope they do what they did on the Spaced DVD and have a 'Spot the reference' subtitle track.
The website
http://www.hotfuzz.com/
has a game where you have to guess the movie references - see the village bit of the site. There are 30 of them ?!
The Pac Man style game in the pub is ace - the Swan is annoying though !
Love the guy with the Dog in the film - he talks a bit like me :)
just returned from seeing it - although i didn't enjoy Shaun i thought Hot Fuzz was excellent.
Me n my mate went a day too early lol, we'll def be goin to see it at the end of the month!
BoroughGal 15-02-2007, 21:25 Any good Deej? I was meant to go on the 14th when it opened, but been a bit poorly! :(
Saw this last night and thought it was great. Laughed all the way through, can't remember the last film that I found that consistently funny.

Ive got 21 out of 30. Cant get the motorbike, the kid in the hat, the copper on the roof in the cape, the 5 coppers stood in the square, the egg, the outline of the body, the 2 coppers jumping off the roof, the P.I and co shop, and the must be one more clue I cant see.
Beakerzoid 16-02-2007, 19:08 the copper on the roof in the cape..... the 2 coppers jumping off the roof
At a guess without looking, try Supercop and Lethal Weapon (in that order)
outline of the body is always in naked gun!!!

Both right, ta
outline of the body is always in naked gun!!!
Its not naked gun, already tried that. In this outline, the body was pleased to see someone, if you know what I mean....
