I heard some of the Full Monty was filmed at a working mens club in Brightside...anyone know anything about the club?

Definitely Shiregreen Working Mens....althought they called it "Millthorpe" in the film. I think they must have got the idea for the name from the firm Millthorpe Metals Recycling Ltd, which is nearby at Tyler St at Wincobank.

They certainly do, and they are an absolute treasure. The farther north you go the more of them there is it seems.

Most are now referred to as social clubs, for example Woodseats, Farm Road and St Phillips.

There are not only working men's clubs in the north, I have seen quite a few around Leicester!

:rant: whats a wmc they ask,probably the best nights entertainment you can get for £0.015p per night , beer/lager at the right price,live bands, its all changing though now ,gladly for the better some wmcs even let women onto their commiteee tha knows :clap:
