Managed to get the VW scirocco I bought recently started this morning, but does have some running problems i hope someone here may advise me on.
It will not run properly in idle, it stalls and sounds like the timings out
If you rev it, it occasionally backfires
When you then take your foot off the gas, you get what I can only describe as 'kickback' from the carb air filter, which is a KJ&N and looks pretty new.
We know very little about this cars history, other than ? carb problems. do these syptoms suggest the carb, or other problems. BTW, heres a 'before' photo of it taken before we start any renovation
