Microsoft said the exploit was "technically possible" but there was no need to worry. Yeh, k Mr Gates :hihi: Give it six months, walk into PC World, scream FORMAT! mwa ha haa! 'Delete porn File pronto' xircon 05-02-2007, 09:37 From my mate in holland: The new version of Windows (Vista) has speech recognition software built into it, which you can use to issue voice commands to your computer. Here's an interesting possible side-effect of that...... Voice command is autoloaded if you calibrate the system and enable Voice commands. You can actually activate voice command mode by saying a certain phrase. If this exploit works, you could say that phrase first and then start your commands. Then you'd say "start", "cmd", "enter", then bark out the commands you want. This assumes it works and that no one near the PC gets suspicious. I can see it now; all you need is one owned host every few feet and you can bark commands to all the others within earshot. First thing you tell them is to join in the sing-along. It would make a great movie scene -- with maybe Richard Clarke looking over his shoulder down a corridor in the Pentagon and saying "Do you hear that?" as a crescendo of "halt-and-catch-fire" rises in the in the distance... Here's $500 for the first documented case of someone using the white courtesy phone in an airport to page Mr Shootdown, Reese Sett, Sleep Now, or whatever and blanking all the laptops in a concourse. probedb 05-02-2007, 12:04 This is a rather amusing read :) http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=7764 esme 05-02-2007, 13:26 RECORD "Row row row your boat gently down the stream," PLAY RECORD "merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream" PLAY RECORD well it beats 10 PRINT "hi I'm esme" 20 GOTO 10 Treatment 20-08-2009, 00:11 I don't know if this is the correct place to ask, but there was a thread on here in which someone sought information as to how to put speech/ voice recognition on, with Vista Home Premium. I put it on, but I was '' in wine '', as they say. Anyone know how I take it off please ? |
