Anyone know if Bleach has started again on a Thursday night at Sheffield Student Union?

THE FUZZ CLUB and BLEACH is up and running again.....

"Every week Fuzz Club features 2 of the country's best up & coming live bands. Past highlights include Keane, Bloc Party, British Sea Power, The Killers, Dogs Die In Hot Cars and many, many more! PLUS: FUZZ CLUB in room one is Sheffield's leading indie night. Every Thursday it brings you the best in indie, rock&roll, electro punk and…whatever! BLEACH in room two is a riot of punk, metal, emo and sk8. "

Remember to buy your tickets in advance, or you'll be one of those sad looking people hanging outside the Union at 10pm :P

Are they getting sold out now then? I've only ever bought my tickets a couple of hours in advance, but then again I guess it is the beginning of term and likely to be more busy.

Gonna go next Thursday I think. Take Friday off work to recover.....

This is a VERY popular night now......unlikely to find many tickets available on the door, if at all....the latest generation of students seem to be far more 'alternative' than they were last year, so an increase in the market for these sort of nights has certainly been noted. And its also of course a TOP night, well balanced and eclectic mix of music and never has become predictable, at least not as far as I am concerned. Also attracts a great crowd, good blend of students and locals which is just about right so it doesnt feel too 'studenty' if you are not one.

Sold out most nights last year, so expect it will sell out nearly every time this year. The first one was sold out on the Monday afternoon!
nb - you don't have to be a student to buy a ticket in advance or get in with your ticket later.

Yes but do any other non-students go? In my search for a decent night out... Mind you, leadmill was ok last week except for the bloody queue!

Oh yes, often a quite a crowd of regulars from the Dove and Rainbow and other places, most of whom tend to be Sheffield locals. Its never 50/50 students/locals or anything like that, but you can certainly usually see some people you know. Students are tending to be a bit more alternative this year than last I have noticed, so the student % may have risen a bit as well, but whatever, its still a cracking night and the drink prices will make you pass out in amazement, not shock! Subsidised STudent Union beer and all that so you can actually get very merry on a couple of fivers and not need that £20 note.
