View Full Version : My Cat Is Suicidal!

My other half was collecting our little girl from school about 20 minutes ago, and as they were walking home, they saw our stupid cat in the middle of the road, rolling on his back. There isnt much traffic around here, but a taxi passed and just missed him. He actually dragged himself towards it and the wheel just missed the little shi- darling.

My daughter was screaming and crying at this and when a lorry appeared she went ballistic.

The other half had to walk into the road, pick the furry pillock up and carry him home.

Whats the idea? Is it a scent thing? Have I driven my moggy to suicide? Is the prat playing chicken or what? Is there a way to stop him? Short of cutting his legs off?

He`s due to have his happy-sacks lopped off soon and Im hoping that`ll stop him, but I cant see how this activity is a mating thing.

Even telling him off doesnt have any effect! (http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i159/Doppler1/pointySANY0008.jpg)

Not sure what's on that link but my browser at work has blocked it!! He's just playing, they like rolling around on the floor, cat's don't realise that you should'nt play on the road.

Im cat-atonic with anger here!

Im sorry but thats the best I could come up with.

Ive seen cats do this to greet people, but there wasnt anyone around, and if the ponce was trying to greet two tons of car as it headed towards him then he definately needs a psssssssssssssychiatrist.

The link was a pic of me telling the moggy off. It shows what a prize gonad he is!

mine has had his bits chopped of and still rolls around on the road! He even tried to stop the car in which his two children were in, about to go off to their new home!

Mine has always been suicidal, he jumped out of an upstairs window, landed on the concrete below, and ran off! stoopid cat!

If I could get him to roll in the road so that a car crushes his love-spuds then it`ll save me 40 quid. Killing two birds with one stone... Or rather, killing two stones with one car...

Hey Jabbers,

Your moggy looks like one of mine! :)

Who also likes to sit in the middle of the road. He waits until I go out to move him and then he rolls on his back.

It's weird. And he's been 'done' for years, so don't expect too many changes. :)

Best of luck, mate!

This is what he has to put up with on the roads here. Where we live is quiet, but we occasionally get THIS idiot (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_qvEXctvNQ)racing by.

This bloke is well known around this area and he likes to circle the town on his bike while filming it. This film shows 2 circuits of the town aparrantly.

I think your cat has prob got more brains than the To**er on the bike. Hes prob dead by now though and hopefully didn't injure anyone in the process.:loopy: :loopy:

Just been told that the ride is from Glenfield near Leicester to Coalville, travelling along the A50.

I should have known because thats the way I used to drive home form work each morning. He still circles the town though.

That won't stop him. My cat had her tubes tied years ago and she likes to roll about in the middle of the road. It's because the road gets really warm in the sunshine.

I did have a cat who comitted suicide, just after we got the dog. Your post brought back lots of unhappy memories.

Put him on a lead and walk him, if you dont the results could be cat-astrophic!!!!

My cat has her own pecking order for the road. It goes like this, 'I won't step out in front of cars if they're there first, but if I'm in the road, they will wait until I'm ready to move' basically, whoever's there first has priority.

IF your cat makes it to 8 years old, he'll probably stop it our's are about 8 or 9 now and don't bother anymore, if it's any consolation.
