New mum to be..... Due in June!

Totally lost at the choice!!!

Firstly how long are they in them for???

Whats the advantage / disadvantage of a bouncer or a rocker!

My sister has given me a rocker, however its just a rocker chair - no toy bar or vibrating parts etc...

My sister in law has offered to buy us anything we might need and been as eager as i am, ive bought near enough if not everything we need. (yes there is still 4 mths left!!)

Ive seen the fisher Price link a doo rocker, which has toy bar, virbrates and also sits up-right for a toddler seat for when older.

Any views or advice!!

Thanks

We used bouncey/rocking seats daily from around 6 weeks ish (ours were tiny so were lost in them when newborn). They lasted until around 7 or 8 months until they were moving around too much to be safe.
A friend gave us a vibrating chair which we used once, it wasn't as deep and soft as the ones we had, just fabric stretched over a frame instead of the shaped padded stuff we had, so that got put away.
We also bought two swinging baby seats which, though expensive, got used all the time until they outgrew them.
The bouncey/rocking seats were a lot more portable, great for the beginning of weaning, good to take in the kitchen whilst busy, down the side of the bath while you attempt to make yourself not smell of milk.
The larger swinging seats are much more cumbersome but still ok for the beginning of weaning.
Great for baby snoozes, for having milk and as a change of scenery from a moses basket.
