Hi,
Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a USB 2 PCI card with a 9 pin connector on board? I have an internal dvd writer with built in smart card readers but the card readers use an internal cable with 9pins.My old motherboard (K7VZA) has such a connector on it but it does not work. I can not find any info on the pin configurations.
Any suggestions or info please?
Thank You,

For the price you'd probably end up spending on such a card you might as well consider getting a new DVD drive and a seperate card reader..

1. They'd be new
2. They'be compatible

Might save you a lot of headaches.

You would need one of these
http://www.xpcgear.com/pinhead2usb.html
That would connect into the internal port of one of these.

(im sure it may be a 10 pin block, but would think 5 are only used) As mart says, prob be easier getting separate items, such as http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductInfo.asp?WebProductID=40833

Many thanks Martin and Penguin,it looks like the 3.5" bay looks the easiest solution.
