OK I know its early but does anyone know if there is going to be anything happening in our "24 hour" city on New Years eve if not does anyone have any influence over getting something up and running?

Not sure if there's anything official happening but I'm sure there'll be a gathering in Town.

Nothing too grand though I don't think, as it's just another new year, not a major one like the Milennium in 2000 for example.

Lights Down Low & whatever's cracking at The Everyone Centre should both be great places to spend the new year.

We have booked the awsome band called BLITZ to play at the Classic Rock Bar. Lots of party rock music going on! Lots of party poppers.

We'll be open very, very, very, very late!

They did have official celebrations in the Peace Gardens a couple of times - for 2000 and for the new Millennium. I'm suprised they don't organise anything now, especially since we have lots of other events in the city centre like "Fright Night".
