Hi does anybody out there have any idea how long you need remaining on a UK childrens passport to visit Greece? Ta xx

6 months after the return date I think?

I dont think that applies in the eu countries

I travelled to Spain in Dec with only a month remaining so not sure if it does apply, I've been told it's six months in Greece but because it's in the EU I thought as long it was valid for the length of the stay xx

I have just checked a british passport must be valid for the length of stay the six months rule does not apply in the eu for british citizens

i was going to paris and a few days before looked at my pasport so i phoned the French embassy in london, they said i need months, i then phoned the British embassy in Paris, they said the expiary date is there for a reason :p - i travelled upto the day before it ran out, no problems.

I think the 6 months applies to everyone no matter where your travelling to

the information re passports I put on earlier is correct if it does not run out while you are there it is valid

No it doesn't.

Travel to all countries in the Schengen Treaty, by citizens of those countries, only requires a passport or ID Card that is currently valid.
